Project Facilities
The Spanish Peaks Lateral will be composed of approximately 28.1 miles of 16-inch-diameter pipeline extending from the north end of CIG’s existing Wet Canyon Lateral in Las Animas County, Colorado, north to an intersection with CIG’s existing Cucharas Lateral, near the Town of Aguilar, Colorado, in Las Animas County.
The Aguilar Lateral will consist of approximately 90.5 miles of 16-inch-diameter pipeline. The pipeline will begin at the north end of the proposed Spanish Peaks Lateral in Las Animas County, proceeding north approximately 60 miles through Huerfano County towards CIG’s existing South Pueblo Meter Station in Pueblo County, Colorado. The proposed Aguilar Lateral will then continue northward approximately 30 miles, parallel to CIG’s existing Pueblo-Watkins Mainline to the south end of CIG’s existing Valley Line in El Paso County, Colorado.
In addition, the Project will include: the installation of the new Kennedy Meter Station to be located in Las Animas County near the start of the Spanish Peaks Lateral; modifications at the existing Wet Canyon Meter Station in Las Animas County, Colorado; installation of a new meter run at the existing Picketwire Meter Station at MP 17.3 of Line 151B (Picketwire Loop) in Las Animas County, Colorado, certain modifications to the existing Bowie Meter Station in Weld County, Colorado, and minor piping modifications at the Watkins and Fort Lupton compressor stations.
