At El Paso, we believe that volunteerism is an important element of our community service program, and our employees recognize that. In 2009, our employees donated more than 15,000 hours of service to various community and charitable events.
Our volunteer efforts are spearheaded by our Sharing Team El Paso program, or STEP for short.
STEP Program As a corporation, El Paso has always encouraged employee involvement in the community. The STEP – Sharing Team El Paso – volunteer program gives us a chance to help others while increasing the company's presence in the community. Company volunteers are involved with many organizations, including the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, Student Conservation Association, and American Cancer Society. ep36 El Paso’s ep36 program provides a financial contribution for volunteer hours served during an employee’s personal time. When employees volunteer 36 hours at an eligible non-profit organization within a calendar year, El Paso will donate $500 to the charity on the employee’s behalf.
