Expanding our Horizons

In 2006, El Paso Exploration & Production won the rights to two blocks in Egypt. One block, South Mariut Block 8, is larger than 220 blocks in the Gulf of Mexico, covering close to 1.2 million acres. In 2007, El Paso opened offices in Cairo, Egypt, one of the leading capitals on the African continent. Our entry into the Middle East provides a new platform for our international exploration activities.
