Black Warrior Storage Project
Southeast Gas Storage (SGS), a subsidiary of El Paso Corporation, proposes to build the Black Warrior Storage Project (Project), a new underground natural gas storage facility in northeastern Mississippi. When complete, the Project will interconnect with Tennessee Gas Pipeline and will provide reliable firm and interruptible storage services to help serve the growing energy needs of the Southeast and Northeast markets (Markets). The Project will offer Markets the ability to manage the reliability, security, and diversity of their supply as well as to help manage price volatility. Based on design data, the Project is anticipated to have a total working gas capacity of approximately 20 billion cubic feet (Bcf) and provide for a
3-turn service.
