In 2008, El Paso conducted an all-employee survey—our third survey of employees in six years. We asked our 5,000 employees what was on their minds and, in particular, what they thought about their company. Just over 4,590 of our employees, or 96 percent of Team El Paso, chose to make their opinions known. And while there were plenty of takeaways, one survey finding stood out. Ninety-one percent of employees who participated in the survey said they were proud to work at El Paso. What inspires that kind of pride in an organization? We think it has to do with factors that add meaning to our jobs, such as a compelling sense of purpose; clarity around the principles and vision that guide our work; an inspiring legacy of achievement; a strong commitment to environmental stewardship; and a reputation for delivering value to our neighbors, customers, and shareholders.

El Paso Corporation is headquartered in Houston, with major offices in Birmingham, Colorado Springs, and Denver. Employees across our operations in the United States can be found at more than 275 locations, including compressor stations and exploration and production field offices. Offices in Mexico City, Cairo, and Rio de Janeiro support our international operations.

Our operations and locations are diverse, but we’re unified by a common purpose. We work each day to fulfill that purpose: to provide natural gas and related energy products in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner.
