We’re proudly creating a culture of inclusion that values our diverse experiences and perspectives and the uniqueness of our company’s heritage.
We have a company policy prohibiting discrimination of any type and our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy is available to all employees on the company intranet.
We recognize that recruiting a more diverse workforce is a key strategy for the organization’s success. In 2007, our workforce was 75 percent male and 64 percent of our employees were age 45 or older. Overall, ethnic minorities represented approximately 26 percent of our workforce. We recognize the need to continue efforts to attract and retain a diverse workforce to meet our business goals and we are taking action. Through our charitable giving and volunteer programs El Paso supports a variety of educational programs, especially those focused on math and sciences. Read more in “Our Commitment to Community” about the educational initiatives El Paso supports in our community schools.
