Supporting Communities through Giving

Employees have a considerable voice in where the company makes charitable contributions. Each fall during our annual giving campaign, when an employee makes a financial pledge to the qualified charity of their choice, El Paso matches that gift 100 percent, up to $15,000 per employee.

Beyond matching employee giving, El Paso focuses primarily on the following program areas in locations where we have significant facilities or concentration of employees—civic and community, education, and health and human services. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is reinforced through philanthropic donations to support environmental causes.

For most of our growth projects, well sites, and other business initiatives, we work with local stakeholders to incorporate an environmental component that often includes plans for mitigating the environmental impact of a project or restoring a project site to near pre-construction condition.

In-Kind Giving

El Paso also has an in-kind giving program, through which we donate office furniture, computers, and other surplus equipment to organizations in need.

  • 2005 - $127,896
  • 2006 - $218,819
  • 2007 - $141,385
